Auspicious and inspiring times for ceremony and circles:

  • Full Moons and New Moons each month have energetic effects.
  • Solstices and equinoxes are the major seasonal turning points. The mid-season times (half-way between, i.e. May Day) are also subtle turning points in the cycle of the year.

    • April 22, after moonset.April’s shooting stars – lasts from about April 16 to 25. About 10 to 15 meteors per hour can be expected around the shower’s peak, in a dark sky. This year, the best time to watch may be the hour or two between moonset and dawn.

    • May 5, 2021: Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower.  The most  meteors will likely rain down in the hour or two before dawn on May 5.  The broad peak to this shower means that some meteors may fly for a few days before and after the predicted optimal date.

    • Late July, 2021: Delta Aquariids Meteor Shower At this shower’s peak on or near July 29-30. the rather faint Delta Aquariid meteors will fall most abundantly in the pre-dawn hours. The moon will be extremely new during this time, making for nice and dark observing conditions. Like the Eta Aquariids in May, the Delta Aquariid meteor shower in July favors the Southern Hemisphere and tropical latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s well viewed from latitudes like the southern U.S.


AUGUST 

  • Aug. 1: Full Moon

  • Aug. 6: Lammas, summer cross-quarter day, half way to fall. Lughnasadh – Celtic mid-summer festival  celebrated the wedding of the Sun god Lugh to the Earth goddess, causing the ripening of crops.
  • Aug. 6 – 8: Expand Horizons Pathways of the Modern Day Mystic Retreat Part 1, 3-day program   
    • Aug. 11-12: Peak of Perseid Meteor Shower The full moon will be up all night long, illuminating your sky. However, although the predicted peak falls during the night of August 11-12, it has a long range: from July 14 to September 1. So, you can start watching for these meteors in early August morning hours, when the moon is waxing and will set before the night is over. You can also look after the peak in August, after sunset, as the moon rises later and later each night.

  • Oct. 8: Draconids Meteor Shower The full moon will drown many Draconid meteors. More Draconids are likely to fly in the evening hours than in the morning hours after midnight.

Oct. 14: Solar Eclipse viewing event: energies-insights-ceremony to tune into the energy of this celestial event in a small group ceremonial setting for personal inspiration


  • Oct. 21, 2021: Orionids Meteor Shower Best viewing in the hours before dawn on October 21. On a dark, moonless night, the Orionids exhibit a maximum of about 10 to 20 meteors per hour. More meteors tend to fly after midnight, and the Orionids are typically at their best in the wee hours before dawn. These fast-moving meteors occasionally leave persistent trains.

    • Dec. 13-14, 2021: Geminids In 2021, the peak night of the shower must endure many hours of moonlight from the waxing gibbous moon, though the moon will set in the wee hours before dawn, providing dark skies in the wee morning hours. Watch the usually reliable and prolific Geminid meteor shower from mid-evening

  • Dec. 25: Christmas
  • Dec. 26 Full Moon Mystic Insights & Ceremony Circle
  • Dec. 13 until dawn December 14, with some of the brighter Geminids likely to overcome the moonlight.

December 21: Winter begins with the Winter Solstice

    • Dec. 31: noon – 2:30 pm New Year’s Eve day:  Clear the old and make way for 2022 with 4 Pathways series of Primal Nature Energy Insight Journeys, Activation Ceremonies, drum circle at a Verde River site in Cottonwood.
