Many people request a “vision quest” experience, but do not have time to devote 8 days to do the full program.

This joyful 3-day mystic immersion outdoor program is designed to:

  • develop core skills with seeking vision in nature with nature as a portal to spirit connection
  • work with shamanic journey to connect with the greater field of wisdom and visionary knowing experiences
  • activate inspirations that flow into you with ceremony
  • provide an introductory vision quest solo circle experience during an evening program
  • give yourself an energetic break from your busy world
  • let some fresh insights flow in

This program does not include any “plant medicine”.  It is not needed:
Vision is a natural skill than can be cultivated with attentiveness, focus, and other pathways of the mystic.

The solo overnight is part of the full 8-day program: Sedona Vision Quest Retreat.

Mystic’s path of direct experience is the core of the retreat.

“It is not the woods I hike through. I hike through the field of power around me that I call my soul, even though at this moment, in this place, I may call it “the woods.” (Tom Cowan, Yearning for the Wind)

“Solo time in nature is a core mystical practice for me that always renews my spirit and belongs to all human beings. Going alone into wild nature at night builds personal confidence and power as you use your awareness tools and trust in Source to overcome fears that arise. This is an ancient way of connecting with your own soul. ” Sandra Cosentino

Shamanic Journey, Nature Connection, and Ceremony

Held at a private site on Oak Creek (when available) or at a Sedona area site. Shamanism is the worlds’ oldest form of communion with Source and is based on a deep, living relation to Nature and inner pathway attentiveness skills.  Insights flow in. You have direct experience of wise compassionate spirit helpers from the realms of nature and divine sources. You learn to trust your perceptions and gain confidence in your own seeing skills.

We work with ceremony to activate positive change in your life. In Nature’s field of sensory connection, we practice toning down the thinking-planning mind and being alive in the moment. In this attentive state, spontaneous flashes of wisdom can occur.  You may experience a moment of ecstatic sense of union with Spirit and all of life. Tension releases, moments of discovery occur,  and you may have flashes of imagining new potentials.

Nature becomes a mirror to your greater knowing.

On own during Afternoon: nature connection hike and make 4-direction medicine bundles and focus on your intention for your vision circle.

Evening program–3.5 hours with 3 or more (3 hours with 1 or 2 people)

Sunset-Stars-Solo Circle

We begin with tuning into nature at night, and ancestor wisdom. You receive instruction on basic safety skills and on setting up your sacred circle before night falls. As you sit in your consecrated circle for about an hour and a half, your focus is on being in a state of expanded now awareness as you sense/invite a merging with vibrational energies from the stars/moon, the earth, the trees. If only for a few moments you can enter this greater field of energy, quick flashes of insight can flow in. A joyous sense of being part of the larger plan of life may arise spontaneously.

We close with a telling of your experience, a Native American star story and star gazing.

Day 3

Dawn nature connections and vision circle on your own.

Dawn full moon and hot air balloon photo in Sedona. One of the sites where we go to make dawn nature connections.

I love to be out in the quiet of predawn, that magical moment when the birds are just starting to sing up the sun. A moment potent with possibility. Image shows balloon rising with Mingus Mountain in background (a holy place in Yavapai and Tonto Apache mythology).  The full moon is setting and balloon is rising.

morning session: 3 hrs with 3 or more people (2.5 hrs with 1 or 2 people)

Circle of Power/ Medicine Wheel Teaching and Healing Ceremony

A shamanic healing ceremony that takes Nature awareness and mystical perceptions a step farther to work with intention, ceremonial protocols, directing energies to create positive change in your life. Closing: Share your new mythology.

Retreat participant review from March, 2019: “I wanted to do a spiritual retreat in the Sedona area and there were so many choices, I was overwhelmed. I contacted a few, but none of them had any activities or seminars that I truly wanted. Sandra, who runs Crossing Worlds Journeys, responded back promptly to my email and gave me some reading material on her site, and that sealed the deal for me. I did a 3-day retreat, and it was amazing. Time out in nature, she knows so much about the Native American culture and history, and seeing the sunsets and going out to watch the stars, private ceremonies at Oak Creek, it was all wonderful and I plan to do other retreats with her going forward.” Highly recommend!
