“Sedona is a place where we are still today creating a mythology in relation to the land.  I share Native American perspectives, metaphysical legends and unique qualities that have made Sedona a place of inspiration since prehistoric times. And you have your stories to discover as you explore Sedona at your leisure!”

Grand Canyon is part of the geological Grand Staircase of time which reveals one-third of the earth’s evolution.  This “womb of creation” is a place of natural power and wonder. Here, sacred lands connection is magnified.

Native people’s relation to this wonder of creation. To the tribes (Hopi, Zuni, Navajo, Hualapai, Havasupai, Paiute, Apache) of this region, it is both a sacred land and a homeland.  It is also, at the same time, a story-scape of holy beings and sacred sites.
For the Hopi Ongtupga – The Grand Canyon – is a place alive with spiritual meaning and the presence of Hopi ancestors. For Hopi, Navajo, Havasupai, Zuni, Apache and other tribes, these are holy places associated with emergence, deities, ancestors, life giving moisture and ceremony.
